This is a poem that I wrote some time ago about my Grandma Witt's house.
Grandma's House
When I think of Grandma's house
I get sentimental.
She had a way of welcoming,
and made you feel at home.
Her house was always neat and clean,
The furniture I learned to love.
The little glass topped coffee table,
The buffet and hutch, and couch.
And beautiful wood dining table.
Her yard was kept up nice as well.
It was a haven for us kids to play in.
She had a lovely garden.
I remember the choke-cherry trees as well.
Her cooking and her baking were among the best.
Whenever we came to visit
She'd make my favorite things to eat.
She really won me over.
Her jams, jellies, and home made juices,
Cabbage rolls, cheese buttons,
German coffee cake,were all delicious.
She was quite creative too,
with her sewing, crochet,
quilting ,  embroidery,
and numerous crafts.
But my favorite thing about
Grandma's house
Was the fun, laughter and
Love we shared
At grandma's house.
