You Are His Lamb
"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.-- I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father - and I lay down my life for the sheep.."            John 10:11,14 & 15
Welcome to my lamb page. I became very fond of the biblical example of Jesus as the shepherd and us as the sheep about 15 years ago when I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. Previous to this diagnosis, I had purchased a picture of Jesus holding a lamb (similar to the one on this page) After I recieved the diagnosis of cancer, it really scared me. But I remembered that picture, and started to picture myself being held by my good shepherd, Jesus. It really comforted me, and helped as I drove home to tell my husband. And Jesus comforted me through that whole ordeal. I had surgery, and as of today, I'm cancer free. I now have started a sheep collection at my desk, and of course I have the shepherd and lamb picture in a predominant place. May the good shephard
comfort and watch over you in whatever you're facing today. Remember He loves you so much that He layed down His life for you .
" Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care."  Psalm  95: 7
Shepherd Love
by Deborah Grizzle, 1990
His shepherd arms enfold me
So close, I hear His heart beat
With steady rhythm that assures
He's all I need.
Sweet memories of how
He never left me in the past,
Hold captive any thought of dread,
Yielded there.... I wait;  At last..
Peace comes, when with acceptance
In His voice, He calls my name;
"No matter what, you're mine
What's mine is yours, the same."
If I feel that I'm falling
He pulls me closer still
When standing is too difficult
He carries me until...
I'll walk beside Him,
Always looking in His face,
To see His eyes direct me,
His soothing smile of grace.
Surrender to His firm embrace
Releases fear and doubt
His shepherd love envelops,
Whether in His arms or out.
